These Terms and Conditions govern the use of services provided by D&M Motors (West Kirby) Ltd, an independent UK garage. 2. Service Agreement

  • D&M Motors (West Kirby) Ltd agrees to provide automotive repair, maintenance, and related services (the "Services") to customers in a professional and timely manner, subject to these terms.
  • Customers must provide accurate and complete information about their vehicle, including make, model, year, and any specific issues or requirements, to enable us to perform the Services effectively.

3. Pricing and Payments

  • Pricing for Services will be communicated to the customer prior to commencement of work.
  • Payment is due upon completion of Services, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
  • Any additional work identified during the Service will only be carried out with the customer’s approval and will be subject to additional charges.

4. Parts and Materials

  • D&M Motors (West Kirby) Ltd will utilise quality parts and materials for repairs and replacements unless otherwise requested by the customer.
  • If the customer requests specific parts or materials, they will be responsible for any additional costs associated with such requests.

5. Warranty Policy

At D&M Motors (West Kirby) Ltd, we aim to provide our customers with confidence in both our workmanship and the parts we supply. Please read the following warranty terms carefully.

5.1 Standard Warranty

  • All aftermarket parts supplied and fitted by us, together with the associated labour, are covered by a 12-month warranty from the date of completion.

5.2 Batteries

  • Batteries supplied and fitted by us are fully covered under warranty.
  • Many batteries also carry a longer manufacturer-backed warranty period, which we will advise you of at the time of purchase.

5.3 OEM / Genuine Dealer Parts

  • Where a customer requests genuine OEM/dealer parts, these are supplied with the dealer or manufacturer’s own warranty.
  • Any suspected faults must be taken directly to the supplying dealer for diagnosis and resolution.
  • D&M Motors (West Kirby) Ltd does not provide any warranty cover on OEM/dealer-sourced parts, including within the first 12 months.

5.4 Tyres

  • Tyres are only covered against manufacturing defects.
  • Normal wear, punctures, or damage caused by road conditions are not covered under warranty.
  • For Davanti tyres supplied and fitted by us, customers benefit from Davanti’s Accidental Damage Guarantee.

5.5 Customer-Supplied & Second-Hand Parts

  • Where you choose to supply your own parts, including second-hand parts, D&M Motors (West Kirby) Ltd cannot provide any warranty on those parts or the associated labour.
  • As a rule, we do not fit second-hand parts. In rare cases where a minor second-hand part is fitted (by agreement with the customer), no warranty cover is provided.

5.6 General Conditions

  • This warranty does not cover wear and tear, misuse, accidental damage, or failure caused by neglect or lack of routine maintenance.
  • The warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original customer and vehicle on which the work was carried out.

6. Vehicle Storage

  • If a customer’s vehicle is left at D&M Motors (West Kirby) Ltd for an extended period, a reasonable storage fee may be charged.
  • D&M Motors (West Kirby) Ltd will not be liable for any loss, damage, or theft of personal belongings left in the vehicle during the provision of Services.

7. Liability and Limitations

  • D&M Motors (West Kirby) Ltd will exercise reasonable care and skill in providing the Services but will not be liable for any unforeseen damage, loss, or injury resulting from the provision of such Services.
  • We will not be responsible for any pre-existing conditions or hidden defects in the vehicle that may affect the Services or their outcome.
  • D&M Motors (West Kirby) Ltd will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of the Services provided.

8. Customer Responsibilities

  • Customers are responsible for providing accurate and complete information about their vehicle and any specific requirements.
  • Customers must inform D&M Motors (West Kirby) Ltd of any changes, additional repairs, or alterations requested after the initial assessment and agreement.
  • Customers are responsible for arranging transportation to and from our premises for their vehicle.

9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes arising from these Terms and Conditions shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the UK courts.

10. Modifications

D&M Motors (West Kirby) Ltd reserves the right to modify or update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Customers will be notified of any changes, and the revised Terms and Conditions will be effective immediately upon posting on our website or other communication channels.
